(Cazenovia, NY \u2013 April 2013) All are invited to the Cazenovia Public Library on Wednesday April 17\u00a0at 7 p.m. for \u201cWhat Happens after the Research,\u201d a presentation by certified genealogical researcher Laine Gilmore.<\/p>\n
This presentation will focus on methodical approaches to organizing your family research.\u00a0 Whether a seasoned genealogist or hobbyist, an expert or novice, everyone wants to be assured that the next generations will be left with an understandable, searchable, and sourced family history documentation.<\/p>\n
Included in the discussion will be various approaches in organizing both paper and computer research.\u00a0 Simple \u201cproblem solving\u201d organization methods will be covered as well as ways of writing and documenting your research and methods of organizing documents and families.<\/p>\n
After the presentation, time will be available for a short question and answer session relating to the topics covered and any additional research questions.<\/p>\n
Gilmore is a professional genealogical researcher and writer and is the owner of Laine Gilmore Genealogical Research Services.\u00a0 She works with clients both locally and nationally, indexes for a local heritage society and for\u00a0familysearch.org, and volunteers gravestone photos for\u00a0findagrave.com.\u00a0 She specializes in both archival and internet family history research, lineage society applications, project management and educational workshops, and methodology applications for written family histories.<\/p>\n
Through the generosity of the Friends, the popular online resources\u00a0Ancestry.com and\u00a0Heritage Quest\u00a0are available at the Cazenovia Public Library.\u00a0\u00a0Additionally, a Genealogy Computer is located in the Reference Room for the sole use of genealogical research.<\/p>\n
