The Best Offensive Player is<br \/>\ngiven to the player with the most points on the team.<\/p>\n<p>Goulakos was awarded with three of the eight awards as he took home<br \/>\nthe Dan Coley \u201cBarrel\u201d Award, Rob Ries Award and Coaches Award.<br \/>\nDespite missing 10 games, Goulakos was the leader on the blueline with<br \/>\nseven goals, including four power play goals and two gamewinning<br \/>\ngoals. He ended up with 18 points, which was one away from a<br \/>\ncareer-high. His biggest goal of the season was against<br \/>\nnationally-ranked Union in his home return after missing three games.<br \/>\nThe goal was the gamewinner in a 4-1 win. Five of his seven goals came<br \/>\nin league play and three were power play goals. The Dan Coley Award is<br \/>\ngiven to the best defensemen, while the Rob Ries Award is given to the<br \/>\nplayer who provided the most inspiration and leadership to the team.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Jeremy Price was another big winner with two awards on the<br \/>\nnight, including the Terry Slater Trophy, which is awarded by the<br \/>\nSilver Puck Club and goes to the senior whose performance, leadership,<br \/>\nand dedication on and off the ice during his career had the greatest<br \/>\nimpact on Colgate hockey. He was also named the Best Defensive Player.<\/p>\n<p>Price finished his career with 149 games played, which is tied for<br \/>\n11th all time. He recorded 76 career points and is eighth on the<br \/>\nall-time list among defensemen with 57 career assists. This year he<br \/>\nhad his second-straight season with at least 20 points and tied a<br \/>\ncareer-high with six goals. He had two power play goals and two<br \/>\ngamewinners as well as a shorthanded tally.<\/p>\n<p>The Whit Williams Award is given to the player that is most improved<br \/>\nover his four years with the program and this year it went to Nathan<br \/>\nSinz. He played over 100 games in his career and had 24 points on two<br \/>\ngoals and 22 assists. He was one of Colgate&#8217;s most improved players<br \/>\nover his career and was a huge part of the blue line. Sinz recorded<br \/>\nhis first two career goals this season against Sacred Heart and Yale<br \/>\nand added six assists for eight points. He has also been a model<br \/>\nstudent-athlete as he has been named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic<br \/>\nTeam the last three seasons and was a finalist for the 2012-13 ECAC<br \/>\nHockey Student-Athlete of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Kurtis Bartliff was voted the winner of the Steve Riggs Award,<br \/>\nwhich rewards a player who is most known for gentlemanly play and<br \/>\npossesses a high standard of ability. It was the second time in his<br \/>\ncareer that Bartliff has won the Riggs Award as he was honored as a<br \/>\nsophomore with the award. He finished his career with 134 games played<br \/>\nwith 65 career points. This season he had 17 points with a career-high<br \/>\nnine goals and had two multi-goal games, which was also a high. The<br \/>\ntwo multi-goal games came in the season opener against Niagara and a<br \/>\nDecember matchup at UMass. He ended up with 15 career multi-point<br \/>\ngames with seven of those coming as multi-assist games.<\/p>\n<p>The team&#8217;s Best Offensive player went to Tylor Spink, who led the team<br \/>\nin points with 31. He was the first rookie to lead Colgate in points<br \/>\nsince Tyler Burton &#8217;08 had 34 points in 2004-05. Spink tallied 13<br \/>\ngoals and 18 helpers with seven of his goals coming on the power play.<br \/>\nHe had 15 points in league play on seven goals and eight assists. He<br \/>\nwas the first Hogan Hockey\/ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month this<br \/>\nseason.
