(Oneida, NY \u2013 April 2013) Genesee Ted, a local trio of old-time musicians and singers, will appear at Oneida Public Library Tuesday April 16 at 7 p.m. for a free concert of folk, blues, bluegrass, country and original tunes.<\/p>\n
The group is made up of Dana Cooke on mandolin, guitar and strumstick; Eileen Rose on mountain dulcimer and percussion; and Shirley Stevens on guitar.<\/p>\n
Genesee Ted has performed recently at the Nelson Odeon, Steeple Coffee House, Caf\u00e9 at 407, Tully Train Depot and Creekside Book Store in Skaneateles.<\/p>\n
Cooke, both a singer and a songwriter, is president of the Folkus Project in Central New York. He has several CDs out, earning for them five nominations in the Syracuse New Times Sammys Awards.<\/p>\n
Rose regularly performs in the region with Larry Hoyt and the Good Acoustics, Mark Zane and Friends, among others.<\/p>\n
Stevens is the lead singer and guitarist in the local bluegrass band Diamond Someday. She also directs music for worship services in area congregations.<\/p>\n
The Genesee Ted concert is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
