Invited to Solarize Madison Open House"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Madison County, NY \u2013 May 2013) On Saturday, May 18 join Solarize Madison for a Solar Open House at CNY Solar, Inc. to learn more about the feasibility of using solar energy for your home, business, or farm.\u00a0 Session one is held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and session two is held from 2 to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>This event is an opportunity to see solar PV and solar hot water energy systems working in action.\u00a0 CNY Solar will be leading tours of the six systems installed at their business and will be available to answer any technical questions.<\/p>\n<p>On the financial side, H&amp;R Block will be giving a short presentation on how to take advantage of the 30 percent federal and 25 percent state tax credits available for these systems.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees can also learn how to get a free solar energy site assessment through the Solarize Madison program.<\/p>\n<p>Lunch will be provided by Quack\u2019s Village Inn and a bounce house will be available for kids.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you have ever considered installing solar energy or have ever been curious about how these systems work, this event will have something for you,\u201d said Jamie Hart, Senior Planner at Madison County Planning Department.<\/p>\n<p>All are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<p>CNY Solar is located at 2998 State Highway 31, program that streamlines the process and lessens the cost of installing solar energy for electricity and\/or hot water.\u00a0 Through this volume purchasing approach, the more people in Madison County that decide to install solar, the greater the price reduction for all participants in the program.\u00a0\u00a0 In total, participants in the program can receive up to 75% savings over the full market price for either type of system.\u00a0 The program is open to homeowners, business owners, farms, municipalities, and institutions in Madison County.\u00a0 Under this program, CNY Solar is offering free site assessments through June 28.\u00a0 Enroll for a free site assessment on the website.<\/p>\n<p>To date, eight contracts for solar hot water systems and six contracts for solar PV systems (total is over 50 kWh) have been signed.\u00a0 With this volume, prices have already dropped to Tier 2 for solar PV and Tier 3 for solar hot water.\u00a0 Pricing tiers for both types of systems can be
