The 111-mile ride will start at Caskinette\u2019s Throttle Shop in Carthage, feature three stops along the way, and conclude with a party at the Black River American Legion complete with live music and food.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled that the American Legion Riders of Black River have chosen to donate the proceeds of their annual benefit ride to support the Watertown Urban Mission,\u201d said Erika F. Flint, executive director. \u201cThis club is very community minded and has really taken an active role in learning about the Mission, especially the services provided to active duty and former members of our military, and spreading the word in the community. We are truly blessed to have their support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pre-registration for the ride begins on Friday, May 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Caskinette\u2019s Throttle Shop and same day registration starts up at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 at the shop. The ride will start at 11 a.m. and include stops at the Pine Tree Inn, Brantingham, the Booneville American Legion, and the Lowville American Legion before coming home to the Black River Legion in the mid-afternoon for dinner provided by the Tilted Kilt and live music from Wagner\u2019s Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is just $15 per bike and $5 per passenger. T-Shirts for the event will be sold for $15 each or 2\/$25, along with door prize tickets and tickets for several 50\/50 drawings. Event sponsors include Newzjunky, Carthage VFW, United Neighbors Federal Credit Union, The Junction Inc., the Tilted Kilt and Caskinette\u2019s Throttle Shop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were very impressed with the services provided by the Watertown Urban Mission and how our donation would be used directly to serve people in need,\u201d said Joseph Martel, American Legion Riders Director. \u201cWe know that the Mission is a place where people can turn for help, including the men and women who have served in our armed forces and those on active duty.
