Taylor, 47, was seen at several different\u00a0windows of the residence brandishing a long gun.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after 5 p.m. Taylor pointed the weapon out of a second floor window at a trooper and conservation officer who were manning a post behind the residence. The trooper discharged one shotgun round at Taylor, striking him in the right hand and causing him to drop the weapon. Taylor then surrendered.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor was transported to University Hospital and upon his release will be charged with Menacing a Police Officer and Reckless Endangerment.\u00a0 The state police were assisted at the scene by the Oswego County Sheriff\u2019s Department, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Central Square Police Department and SOVAC Ambulance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Hastings, NY &#8211; May 26, 2013)\u00a0&#8211; At approximately 4:10 p.m. Sunday, May 26 the New York State Police and Oswego County Sheriff&#8217;s Department responded to\u00a063 County Route 32 in Hastings\u00a0for the report of a suicidal subject.
