Rossetti Scholarship Fund Committee awarded $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors from the Camden, Canastota and Madison school districts planning to pursue a career in teaching.<\/p>\n<p>The Rossetti Scholarships, awarded on June 5, 2013, were created in 1988 to honor Andrew D. Rossetti, an Oneida resident and District Superintendent of the Madison-Oneida BOCES from 1973 to 1984. Rossetti, also a former Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Superintendent, had a lifelong passion for teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Lillian Rossetti, Andrew Rossetti\u2019s widow, presented the awards to this year\u2019s recipients. Since its inception in 1988, the Andrew D. Rossetti Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $70,000 to over 80 local graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The 2013 scholarship winners are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kaitlin Chase, of Camden who plans to study English at Cazenovia College. She is the daughter of Keith Chase.<\/li>\n<li>Sarah Hannon, of Canastota, who plans to study early childhood education at SUNY Brockport. She is the daughter of Chris and Melissa Hannan.<\/li>\n<li>Rachel Rockwell, of Madison, who plans to study music education at SUNY Potsdam.
