The exhibit and reception are open to the public with no admission or parking fee.<\/p>\n<p>Skaneateles artist Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Verley Strodel paints colorful abstract images inspired by nature. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se works with acrylic paint on paper, using an assortment of metal combs and gel mediums to create texture. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se explains that for her, \u201cpainting is a meditative and spiritual experience akin to prayer. The juxtaposition of textured stripes creates rhythm and pattern\u2026from ocean vistas to dramatic landscapes, the beauty, color, and pattern found in elements of nature inspire me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A resident of Cazenovia, Daphn\u00e9 Verley has been creating ceramics for over 38 years.
