(Westmoreland, NY \u2013 Sept. 1, 2013)\u00a0State Police arrested\u00a0Devon T. Brantley, age 17, from Syracuse and\u00a0Ricky B. Woods Jr., 16, from Utica after crashing a stolen car outside of the Westmoreland exit of the New York State Thruway.<\/p>\n

At approximately 11:45 a.m. Sept. 1, Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding when the vehicle failed to comply, passed through the Westmoreland toll booth (exit 32) and crashed into a guide rail.\u00a0 Both suspects fled on foot from the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Woods was taken into custody at the scene; Brantley fled on foot and was later apprehended.<\/p>\n

Devon Brantley was charged with the following:<\/p>\n

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, a class “D” felony<\/p>\n

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a class “A” misdemeanor<\/p>\n

Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, a class “A” misdemeanor<\/p>\n

Resisting Arrest, a class “A” misdemeanor<\/p>\n

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation<\/p>\n

Brantley was arraigned in the Town of Westmoreland Town Court and is remanded to the Oneida County Jail on no bail.<\/p>\n

\"brantley\"<\/a>\"woods\"<\/a>Ricky Woods Jr., was charged with the following:<\/p>\n

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th (Cocaine), a class “D” felony<\/p>\n

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a class “D” felony<\/p>\n

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a class A” misdemeanor<\/p>\n

Obstructing Governmental Administration, a class “A” misdemeanor<\/p>\n

Resisting Arrest, a class “A” misdemeanor<\/p>\n

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation<\/p>\n

Woods was arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $25,000 bail.<\/p>\n
