Investigation and interviews found that an area juvenile shot a dog with a pellet gun.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies arrested a 13 year old male and charged him with one count of NYS Agriculture and Markets Law Article 26, Section 353, Torturing or Injuring an Animal, a Class A Misdemeanor.<\/p>\n<p>The juvenile\u2019s parent was issued an appearance ticket for Madison County Family Court, where the charge will be answered in early November.<\/p>\n<p>The pellet gun was seized as it was used in the commission of a crime.<\/p>\n<p>The dog was transported to an animal hospital in Syracuse by the owner to be treated for the injury.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Town of Lenox, NY &#8211; Oct. 31, 2013) Madison County Sheriff\u2019s deputies were dispatched to a reported animal cruelty incident Wednesday evening in the Madison County Town of Lenox.
