{"id":51350,"date":"2013-11-06T09:30:37","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T14:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=51350"},"modified":"2013-11-05T19:38:30","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T00:38:30","slug":"syracuse-men-arrested-in-parish-on-burglary-weapons-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=51350","title":{"rendered":"Syracuse Men arrested in Parish on Burglary, Weapons charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Parish, NY \u2013 Nov. 4, 2013)\u00a0 On Nov. 4, at approximately 8 p.m., New York State Police in Hastings were called to\u00a0Railroad Street in the Village of Parish for an alleged\u00a0report of two men that had assaulted the homeowners with a machete, and stole property.\u00a0 This property allegedly included cash and a long\u00a0gun.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects had left the scene prior to patrol&#8217;s arrival.<br \/>\nThe suspect vehicle was spotted a short time later by an Oswego County Sheriff&#8217;s Deputy near Route 81 in Parish.\u00a0 The\u00a0suspects were apprehended a short time later on I-81 near Central Square, with\u00a0assistance\u00a0from the Sheriff&#8217;s Department and the Village of Central Square Police.<br \/>\nMalik L. DeJesus, 18 and\u00a0Christian M. Figueroa, 21,\u00a0of Lexington Avenue in\u00a0Syracuse were both charged with the B Felony of first-degree Burglary.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/DeJesus1.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-51352\" alt=\"DeJesus\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/DeJesus1.bmp\" \/><\/a>DeJesus was additionally charged with third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (C Felony),<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Figueroa.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-51353\" alt=\"Figueroa\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Figueroa.bmp\" \/><\/a>Figueroa was additionally charged with fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree (A Misdemeanor) and fourth-degree \u00a0Criminal Possession of Marijuana\u00a0(A Misdemeanor).<\/p>\n<p>Both were arraigned in the Town of Parish Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $25,000 \/ $50,000 bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Parish, NY \u2013 Nov. 4, 2013)\u00a0 On Nov. 4, at approximately 8 p.m., New York State Police in Hastings were called to\u00a0Railroad Street in the Village of Parish for an alleged\u00a0report of two men that had assaulted the homeowners with a machete, and stole property.\u00a0 This property allegedly included cash and a long\u00a0gun.
