An essential oil\u00a0is a fragrant liquid extracted from leaves, twigs, berries, bark, wood, root, flowers, citrus peels, or other plant matter. They are not actually oily, but have more of a water-like feel.<\/p>\n<p>This month, you can learn the basics of essential oils at the Canastota Public Library.\u00a0 On\u00a0Wednesday, May 7\u00a0at 7 p.m. Heather Gordon will provide a beginners workshop on Essential Oil. \u00a0This beginner\u2019s workshop will explain how essential oils are made, how they work, and how to use them.<\/p>\n<p>You will discover how essential oils can benefit your family, prevent sickness, and help you achieve a healthier lifestyle. This program will take place in the Lawson Community Room located in the lower level of the library. It is free and all are welcome but please RSVP by calling 697-7030 so that the presenter has enough samples to share.<\/p>\n<p>The Canastota Public Library is located at 102 W.
