They will face the Hellions of Troy Herculadies in an action-packed, hard-hitting match up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">Doors open at 2 p.m. Bout starts at 3 p.m. Bleacher seating is available, but spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs to sit rink side and get even closer to the action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">Founded in February 2012, Ladies\u2019 Death and Derby Society has members from across Madison County including Hamilton, Poolville, Canastota, Madison, Oneida and Sherrill. This will be their third bout of this season, and they are looking forward to hosting this competition on home turf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">Although roller derby\u2019s popularity is often associated with a more staged play from the 1960s and \u201970s, the modern game is very different. Today the sport is rigorous, athletic and internationally regulated, and teams are known for promoting grassroots community efforts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">Proceeds from this home bout will be donated to the Victims of Violence program at Liberty Resources.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">\u201cWe are excited to be hosting this home bout, as we&#8217;ve worked very hard over the last two-and-a-half years to build this team,\u201d said Coach Collette \u201cTexas Terror\u201d Caton. \u201cWe&#8217;ve had amazing community support and can&#8217;t wait to bring the thrilling action of derby to Hamilton.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">Bout sponsorship opportunities are available, and those interested in supporting the league can email deathandderby@gmail.com or call 315.280.8220.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text\">Advance tickets for the May 31 bout are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12 and seniors (kids under 5 are free).
