Gillibrand and Hanna worked to ensure the Army Corps approved this application to allow EDGE to move forward with site preparations and construction, so that the facility can in turn become a world-class, job-creating high-technology manufacturing hub.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Hanna-for-web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-41286\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Hanna-for-web-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Hanna for web\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u201cThis is great news that the Marcy Nanocenter project can finally move forward.\u201d said Senator Gillibrand. \u00a0\u201cThis project has the potential to be a powerful economic engine for the Mohawk Valley. The Marcy Nanocenter project is the kind of development we need to bring to the Mohawk Valley to create more good-paying, high-tech jobs right here in New York. I\u2019ve visited the future site of the Marcy Nanocenter, and I know it\u2019s potential to be a real economic development engine in the region. This project holds tremendous economic opportunity for the region and is far too important to squander.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been a priority for me since taking office,\u201d Rep. Hanna said. \u201cI have been in constant contact with the administration impressing the importance of this permit for the future of the Mohawk Valley and upstate New York.
