He became involved with New York State\u2019s pioneering bald eagle restoration program in September of that year and had responsibility for monitoring eagles in western New York. When the New York eagle effort began, only one active bald eagle nest was known to exist in all of the Empire State. Now, there are more than 300 eagle nesting territories within New York\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n<p>Refreshments will be served following his presentation.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Allen\u2019s presentation, the Chenango Bird Club will have a short business meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend all or part of the evening\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n<p>The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except January, February, and March). Nature enthusiasts of\u00a0all levels and interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge. Rogers Center is located one mile west of Sherburne Village on State Highway 80.
