(New Woodstock, NY \u2013 Nov. 2014) From Nov. 5 through 25, the New Woodstock Free Library will showcase the many programs and services provided by Madison County departments and agencies. Titled \u201cMadison County Works for You,\u201d the exhibit will highlight the essential services provided for residents.<\/p>\n

This exhibit is a month-long display of materials intended to educate and remind the public of the many functions of our county government that enrich our lives, keep us safe and stimulate the growth and health of our citizens and our economy.<\/p>\n

According to Parry, the Health Department, Rural Health Council, Planning Department, Madison County Historian, County Clerk, Veterans Service Agency, Youth Bureau, Department of Solid Waste and Recycling and Retired Senior Volunteer Program are among those expected to participate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis exhibit is aptly titled because Madison County DOES work,\u201d said Madison County Board of Supervisors Chairman John M. Becker. \u201cWe are the people\u2019s government; we are all about our county and all about each other. We try to be very responsive to people\u2019s needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe county is excited to partner with the New Woodstock Free Library to showcase all the great things the county does that the public may not know about,\u201d said County Administrator Mark Scimone.<\/p>\n

The exhibit will be open to the public during all regular library hours. The library is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The library is also open when the blue library flag is displayed.<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s story hour is held every Tuesday at 11 a.m. Family movie night is held the third Friday of every month. The movies begin at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
