{"id":59330,"date":"2014-11-30T12:00:13","date_gmt":"2014-11-30T17:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=59330"},"modified":"2014-11-30T08:37:47","modified_gmt":"2014-11-30T13:37:47","slug":"winter-farmers-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?p=59330","title":{"rendered":"Winter Farmers\u2019 Markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Think Local<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Hoffman-e1356564447858.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-33209\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Hoffman-e1356564447858.jpg\" alt=\"Hoffman\" width=\"226\" height=\"324\" \/><\/a>By Chris Hoffman<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Sherburne, NY \u2013 Nov. 2014) For those of us who buy our food from local farmers and producers, livin\u2019 is easy in Central New York during the summer months, since now nearly every town and village has its own market, and if not, there\u2019s likely to be one just a few miles down the road.\u00a0 Buying healthy, pesticide-free food in the winter months, however, has always been something of a problem.\u00a0 But for a few years now, winter farmers markets have begun to pop up here and there, and they have become just as popular, if not more so.<\/p>\n<p>A new winter market is about to debut this year, this time in Sherburne.\u00a0 Organized by Kelly Perrin of Quarry Brook Farms, this new market will be located inside the American Legion Hall at 15 S.
