\"state-police-seal-150x150\"<\/a>Man charged with driving under influence of drugs<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Verona, NY \u2013 Dec. 1, 2014) Oneida based state police charged Adam R. Kiskadden, 21, of Pangborn Road, Hastings with DWAI-Drugs following a traffic stop in Verona Friday evening.<\/p>\n

At approximately 8:45 p.m. Nov. 28, Trooper Christopher G. Budlong stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse travelling at 75 mph in a 55 mph zone on State Route 31 in the Town of Verona.\u00a0 While interviewing the driver, Kiskadden, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was observed coming from the vehicle.\u00a0 Further investigation resulted in\u00a0the driver admitting to recently smoking marijuana prior to driving and being pulled over.<\/p>\n

Field sobriety tests showed Kiskadden to be impaired and a quantity of marijuana was found in his possession.\u00a0 Kiskadden was taken into custody\u00a0and transported to the\u00a0SP Oneida\u00a0barracks for\u00a0further evaluation by a drug recognition expert.<\/p>\n

Kiskadden was charged with DWAI – Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Verona Court on Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Driver stopped for speeding – charged with DWI\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Verona, NY \u2013 Dec. 1, 2014) Oneida based state police charged Jaye F. Stewart, 48, of Station Street, Verona with DWI following a traffic stop in Verona Friday evening.<\/p>\n

At approximately 8:10 p.m. on Nov. 28, Trooper Terry J. Horton stopped a 2006 Subaru Legacy travelling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on State Route 31 in the Town of Verona.\u00a0\u00a0After interviewing the driver, Stewart, field sobriety tests were administered and it was determined that he was intoxicated.<\/p>\n

Stewart was taken into custody for DWI and transported to the SP Oneida barracks for processing.\u00a0 A breath test determined his blood alcohol content to be .09 percent.\u00a0 Stewart was issued traffic tickets for DWI, Driving with a BAC of .08 percent or greater and speeding and is to appear in the Town of Verona Court on Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Leads To Aggravated DWI Arrest\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Vernon, NY \u2013 Dec. 1, 2014) Oneida based state police charged Charles B. Young, 46, of North Street, Vernon with aggravated DWI following a traffic stop early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on Nov. 27, Troopers Mark E. Buzzard and Terry J. Horton observed a 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck travelling eastbound on State Route 5 in the Town of Vernon weaving across the center line of the roadway several times.\u00a0 The troopers stopped the pickup and interviewed the driver, Young, and observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath.\u00a0 Field sobriety test determined that Young was intoxicated and he was taken into custody for DWI.<\/p>\n

Young was processed at the SP Oneida barracks, where a breath test determined his blood alcohol content to be .20 percent.\u00a0 Young was ticketed for DWI, Aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18 percent or greater and Failure to Keep Right.<\/p>\n

Young is scheduled to appear in the Town of Vernon Court on Dec. 17 at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Traffic Accident Results In DWI Arrest in Verona<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Verona, NY \u2013 Dec. 1, 2014) Oneida based state police charged Laurie A. Swancott, 50, of West Ava Road, Ava with DWI following a one car accident in the Town of Verona on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

At approximately 5:49 p.m. on Nov. 26, Trooper Steven Fountain was dispatched to a one car property damage accident on State Route 365 near Blackmans Corners Road in the Town of Verona.\u00a0 His investigation revealed that Swancott was operating a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu southwest on Route 365 at a speed not reasonable for the snow covered roadway.\u00a0\u00a0Swancott lost control of the vehicle and it slid off the\u00a0west side of the roadway and struck a road sign.<\/p>\n

Trooper Fountain determined that Swancott was intoxicated and arrested her for DWI.\u00a0 Swancott was processed at the SP Oneida barracks, where a breath test determined her blood alcohol content to be .12 percent.\u00a0 Swancott was issued traffic tickets for DWI, Driving with a BAC of .08 percent or greater\u00a0and imprudent speed.<\/p>\n

Swancott was arraigned in the Town of Verona Court and remanded to Oneida County Jail on bail.\u00a0 Swancott is to reappear in Verona Court on Dec. 16 at 5:30 pm.\u00a0 The Verona Fire Department assisted with traffic control at the scene.<\/p>\n

Liverpool man charged with Felony DWI and drug possession\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"fredrick<\/a>(Verona, NY \u2013 Dec. 1, 2014) \u00a0Oneida based state police charged\u00a0Fredrick L. Fowler,\u00a0age 39, of Arlington Circle, Liverpool with Felony DWI and marijuana possession after a traffic stop at Thruway Exit 33 early Monday morning.<\/p>\n

At approximately 2:05 a.m. on Dec. 1, Sergeant Jason M. Place stopped a 2008 Suzuki XL-7 at the on-ramp to Exit 33 for a traffic violation.\u00a0 While interviewing the driver, Fowler, a strong odor of marijuana and alcoholic beverage was observed coming from within the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Field sobriety tests determined that Fowler was intoxicated and a quantity of marijuana was found in his possession.<\/p>\n

Fowler was taken into custody for DWI and transported to the SP Oneida barracks for processing.\u00a0 A breath test determined Fowler’s blood alcohol content to be .09 percent.<\/p>\n

A DMV check revealed that Fowler’s license had previously been revoked for a DWI conviction within the past 10 years.\u00a0 Fowler was charged with Felony DWI, Felony Driving with a BAC of .08 percent or greater, first-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle ( Felony), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and other traffic charges.<\/p>\n

Fowler was arraigned in the Town of Verona Court and remanded to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or bond and\u00a0is scheduled to reappear in Verona Court at a later date.<\/p>\n

City of Fulton Man arrested for Forcible Touching<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Earl<\/a>(Fulton, NY \u2013 Dec. 1, 2014) State Police in Pulaski arrested\u00a0Earl Combes, 63, of State Street in the City of Fulton for one count of Forcible Touching, a class “A” misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

Combes, an instructor at the Mexico Academy, located in the Village of Mexico, in Oswego County is alleged to have touched a 16 year-old female inappropriately during a class on Nov. 13.
\nCombes was processed and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Mexico Court on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
