\"Cazenovia<\/a>(Cazenovia, NY- Jan. 2015) During February at the Cazenovia Public Library, three technology classes will be offered.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Wednesday Feb. 4 Margaret Teitsch Mulvey will conduct a class on the \u201cBasics of Microsoft Word\u201d and Amy Wyant returns to conduct two intermediate classes\u2014 \u201cIpad Intermediate\u201d Feb. 18\u00a0and \u201cIphone Intermediate\u201d Feb. 25.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Basics of Microsoft Word – 10 to 11:30 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Feb. 4 class targets new PC users and users with limited Word skills.\u00a0\u00a0Instruction will apply generally for computers running on Word 2007, Word 2010, and Word 2013.<\/p>\n

Topics covered will be:\u00a0 Document Setup, Editing and Revision, and Formatting. After the 90-minute instructional period, time will be provided for Q & A.\u00a0Windows 8 users should bring your own device.<\/p>\n

Mulvey, formerly of Cazenovia\u00a0has a diverse background that spans the military, business, and education arenas.\u00a0 Additionally, she maintains valuable language and analytical skills that she attained as a cryptologic linguist in the United States Air Force.<\/p>\n

She also has extensive experience in technical writing and marketing communications, instructional design and delivery, as well as document design and management. For over twenty years, she has been designing and conducting Microsoft Office instruction at various levels for groups or individuals in businesses, schools, and private homes.<\/p>\n

\u00a0iPad Intermediate – 3 to 4:30\u00a0and\u00a06:30 to 8 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you have a good handle on the basics, but want to go deeper to learn how to use your\u00a0iPad to do more? Then \u201ciPad Intermediate\u201d with\u00a0technology specialist Amy Wyant on Feb. 18\u00a0is the class for you.<\/p>\n

The focus of this class will be on\u00a0how to use your iPad\u00a0to organize your life and how to use apps to enhance your experiences.\u00a0 Also covered will be how to use the library\u2019s digital systems to lend books, magazines, and other media.<\/p>\n

The first hour will be a general presentation to the group followed by a 30-minute Q & A session for more specific questions.\u00a0 Personal training can also be arranged later for anyone wanting a one-on-one session.<\/p>\n

With over eleven years of IT experience, Wyant, CEO and President of Tech Geekery,\u00a0has had a vast array of career experiences including systems efficiency, IT procurement, program development, as well as personalized corporate and private training development.\u00a0 She has spent the past six years developing custom curriculum for both individual and group training sessions.<\/p>\n

All classes will meet in the Library Community Room.<\/p>\n
