Off the field he excelled in his academic field of study, natural resources conservation, earning an associate\u2019s degree in the spring of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Burdick is expected to earn his bachelor of technology degree in renewable resources technology from Morrisville State in May.<\/p>\n<p>The graduate of Maine-Endwell High has been a recipient of Dean\u2019s List accolades at Morrisville State. He is the son of Marie and Tim Burdick of Maine, NY.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Kilmartin, Toure named Mustang Athletes of the Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Jan. 2015) The Morrisville State College athletic department has announced its Mustang Athlete of the Week selections, naming women\u2019s basketball forward Haley Kilmartin (Fort Plain, N.Y.) and men\u2019s basketball forward Ibrahima Toure (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to the weekly honor for the week ending Jan. 25.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/KILMARTIN-MOR-2014-WBB.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-60751\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/KILMARTIN-MOR-2014-WBB.jpg\" alt=\"KILMARTIN-MOR-2014-WBB\" width=\"226\" height=\"262\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/KILMARTIN-MOR-2014-WBB.jpg 226w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/KILMARTIN-MOR-2014-WBB-129x150.jpg 129w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/><\/a>Kilmartin paced the women\u2019s team to a 2-1 record on the week, averaging 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals across three games. In the Mustangs win over Gallaudet on Sunday, Kilmartin poured in a collegiate best performance of 18 points, while registering four rebounds and another collegiate high seven steals.<\/p>\n<p>The freshman is a graduate of Fort Plain High and is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Barbara and Joe Kilmartin of Fort Plain.<\/p>\n<p>Toure led Morrisville State\u2019s efforts on the court over the week, averaging a team best 18.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots across three games on the week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/TOURE-MOR-2014-MBB.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-60752\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/TOURE-MOR-2014-MBB.jpg\" alt=\"TOURE-MOR-2014-MBB\" width=\"226\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a>Early in the week he netted 18 points in the loss to SUNY IT before wrapping up the week with a 23 point, nine rebound performance against Gallaudet. Throughout the week, Toure shot 60% from the floor, hitting 21-of-35 shots.<\/p>\n<p>The junior is a graduate of Brooklyn High for Law and Tech, and is a transfer from SUNY Delhi where he was named the Sportsmanship Award winner of the year. An individual studies major at Morrisville State, Toure is the son of Mohamed Toure of Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anderson, Ward named Mustang Athletes of the Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Feb. 2015) \u00a0The Morrisville State College athletic department has announced its Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 1, naming Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston, N.Y.) and Trent Ward (Auburn, N.Y.) to the weekly honor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Anderson-MOR-WBB-1314.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-60753\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Anderson-MOR-WBB-1314-208x300.jpg\" alt=\"Anderson-MOR-WBB-1314\" width=\"208\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Anderson-MOR-WBB-1314-208x300.jpg 208w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Anderson-MOR-WBB-1314-104x150.jpg 104w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Anderson-MOR-WBB-1314.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 208px) 100vw, 208px\" \/><\/a>Anderson, sophomore on the women\u2019s basketball team, guided Morrisville State to a 2-0 week in conference action, netting a combined 23 points, five rebounds, three assists and five steals across two games.<\/p>\n<p>In the win over Keuka, Anderson netted a season high 16 points, and hit key free throws down the stretch to keep the Mustangs as one of the top teams in the North Division of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) standings.<\/p>\n<p>The sophomore is a graduate of Unadilla Valley High and is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. In the contest against Keuka on Saturday, he notched a collegiate best scoring performance, hitting 60% from the floor while racking up 27 points. Four of his baskets came from behind the arc.<\/p>\n<p>The freshman is a graduate of Auburn High and is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. Two of his goals were\u00a0extra-man opportunities, with assists both times\u00a0from Matt Clarkson. Abbadessa assisted Matt Clarkson on\u00a0another\u00a0extra-man goal, as the Raider teammates combined for 11 of Colgate\u2019s 18 points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMatt and I had a\u00a0good\u00a0connection in the game,\u201d Abbadessa said. \u201cI was finding the right spot and he was putting it where it needed to be. It was great hooking up with him a little\u00a0bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abbadessa scored his goals in the first, second and third quarters.
