\"Caz<\/a>Cazenovia College\u2019s 42nd\u00a0Annual Student Fashion Show<\/p>\n

(Syracuse, Cazenovia, NY \u2013 April 2015) Students in Cazenovia College\u2019s Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising programs will present the College\u2019s\u00a042nd Annual Fashion Show,\u00a0Fashion: The Fifth Element on\u00a0Saturday April 18 at\u00a06 p.m.\u00a0at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s show, sponsored by JES Apparel, a clothing manufacturing company in Manlius that sells to such companies as Kohl\u2019s, JC Penney, American Eagle and Aeropostale, will portray the trendiest styles of the industry. \u00a0JES Apparel has offered internships to Cazenovia College students for the past 10 years.<\/p>\n

Owner Jackie Wilson said,\u201cThe interns we engage from Cazenovia College have a positive impact on our growing business. They arrive well-educated and ready to work and learn.\u201d<\/p>\n

All elements including staging, music, choreography, graphic design, and photography are produced by students enrolled in the College\u2019s\u00a0Fashion Show Production\u00a0class. Thirteen fashion design seniors will present their capstone collections. Among them are:\u00a0Elman Aquino of Providence, R.I.,\u00a0Kelsey Barrett of Watertown,\u00a0Shirmeka Burgess of Galloway, N.J.,\u00a0Brianna Davis of North Syracuse,\u00a0Mary Kaitlyn Flynn of Kings Park,\u00a0Caroline Halpin of Highland Mills, Victoria Holton of Pine City,\u00a0Laura Krasniqi of White Plain,\u00a0Kelli Laskowski of Allendale, N.J.,\u00a0Deborah LeDoux of Worcester, Mass.,\u00a0Annellys Olivio-Figueroa of Syracuse, Alexandra Santiago of Goshen, and\u00a0Alicia Soluri of Watertown.<\/p>\n

Eleven fashion merchandising seniors have collaborated to produce the show. These students include: Director\u00a0Jaclyn Torbitt of Liverpool,\u00a0Ellen Boone of Phoenix, Eliza Brevetti of Homer,\u00a0LaPrea Bussie of Wheatley Heights,\u00a0Victoria Casey of Whitman, Mass.,\u00a0Jazmine Daniel of Queens,\u00a0Justine Harrington of Oswego,\u00a0Edward Mejia of Bronx,\u00a0Erin O\u2019Malley of Torrance Calif.,\u00a0Kaila Wilkinson of Yorkville and\u00a0Nateasha Williams of Northville.<\/p>\n

George Brescia,\u00a0the man behind George B Style, and a top-tier NYC-based stylist and image consultant, will offer remarks. In the last 25 years, Brescia has been working with top fashion and beauty leaders, including Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, along with fashion directors at Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, and Lord & Taylor.<\/p>\n

“George will be a fantastic addition to our 42nd annual fashion show; he is an author, stylist, and\u00a0TV personality who has worked in the fashion industry for many years. George\u00a0hired one of our fashion design seniors as an intern this past summer and she had many valuable experiences joining him on his\u00a0TV appearances, styling events, and learning how to\u00a0work with clients.” said Assistant Professor\u00a0Megan Lawson\u00a0Clark.<\/p>\n

\u201cFashion: The Fifth Element\u201d tickets are now on sale. Admission is $17 for adults, $12 for students and free for children under 5.<\/p>\n
