\nVolunteer tech advisors will be on hand to help users set up and adapt their devices, from iPads and tablets to smart phones and laptops. No appointment is needed.<\/p>\n

President Buchanan and Dred Scott<\/p>\n

Historian and educator Tom Henry shows that politics and court decisions really do matter in a timely talk on the \u201cforgotten\u201d James Buchanan, the 15th U.S. president, who together with the U.S. Supreme Court\u2019s disastrous Dred Scott Decision unwittingly led the nation into civil war and the deaths of some 650,000 countrymen.<\/p>\n

Greene Smith and the Wild Life<\/p>\n

Dr. Norman Dann, professor emeritus of Morrisville State College, will discuss the subject of his latest book, Greene Smith, the brilliant but short-lived son of Gerrit Smith best known in his time as a naturalist and outdoor sportsman. Copies of his book, \u201cGreene Smith and the WildLife,\u201d will be available for sale and signing by the\u00a0\u00a0author.<\/p>\n

A McCarthy Family Concert<\/p>\n

Wednesday at\u00a07:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Oneida Library invites the whole family to a free concert of popular songs and Irish favorites by the McCarthy Family, well known for their lilting three-part harmonies. The concert features Jim McCarthy on guitar, his wife Deirdre on concertina and tin whistle and their son Shane on guitar and mandolin.<\/p>\n

AARP Drivers\u2019 Class<\/p>\n

Monday and Tuesday,\u00a010:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
