If drivers don\u2019t keep up with these changes, they put others and themselves at risk.<\/p>\n<p>AARP\u2019s new and improved Smart Driver Course is the nation\u2019s largest driving refresher course.\u00a0 Its new curriculum was designed with participants in mind and uses an easy-to-follow format that incorporates adult-learning principles and features reader-friendly print types, full-color pages, an easy-to-follow format, and videos to supplement course content.\u00a0 It also offers new opportunities for participants to learn state-specific information throughout the course in a way that is easy to access and understand.<\/p>\n<p>The 2-day course will be taught by Victor DeBenedittis.\u00a0 Call him at\u00a0315-637-4522\u00a0to reserve a spot.\u00a0 Participants are required to attend both days and pay a course fee of $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members.\u00a0 Light refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Legos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-62056\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Legos.jpg\" alt=\"Legos\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Legos.jpg 275w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Legos-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 275px) 100vw, 275px\" \/><\/a>LEGO My Library: Monday, June 8\u00a0at 3:30 p.m. in the Community Room<\/p>\n<p>Children\u2019s Coordinator Jenna Wright invites children ages 4 and older and their families to the popular \u201cLEGO my Library\u201d program.\u00a0 \u00a0Using the Library\u2019s collection of LEGO and Duplo blocks,\u00a0children and their families will have the opportunity to build and create something spectacular.<\/p>\n<p>The Library is a place for discovery and imagination, and this building program fits that mission. Building offers children the experience of making their imaginative musings come to life.\u00a0 By introducing them to these hands-on experiences with science and math, children not only learn how to build different structures but how to also make them stronger and taller.<\/p>\n<p>Open Afternoon Book Club: Wednesday June 17 at 1 p.m. in the Story Garden<\/p>\n<p>Selection:\u00a0All the Light We Cannot See\u00a0by Anthony Doerr.
