(Chittenango, NY \u2013 June 2015) Kinney Drugs, a leading community pharmacy in New York and Vermont, has relocated its full-service pharmacy and retail store in Chittenango to a shopping plaza at 540 Genesee St. An official grand opening celebration is scheduled for\u00a0Saturday June 13.<\/p>\n

The store will kick off its grand opening festivities on Saturday at\u00a07 a.m.\u00a0The first 200 people to walk through the doors will receive a free gift. At\u00a010 a.m.\u00a0local dignitaries and Kinney representatives will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Complimentary refreshments will be offered throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Face painting and balloon twisting \u2013\u00a09 a.m. to noon<\/p>\n

QandA with a representative to learn about respiratory, sleep and other durable medical equipment \u2013\u00a09:30 to 11:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Operation Safe Child ID \u2013\u00a0Noon to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Blood pressure screenings \u2013 all day<\/p>\n

Medicine collections for safe disposal of unused, non-controlled medication \u2013 all day<\/p>\n

Informational sessions with pharmacists to learn about prescriptions and medication management \u2013 all day<\/p>\n

A special appearance by the Kinney Kare Bear<\/p>\n

Customers can participate in raffle drawings for a chance to win a Char-Broil 4-burner gas grill, Bose speakers, and five $50 Kinney Drugs shopping sprees. Instant prize winners will also be announced every half hour.<\/p>\n

For the past 20 years Kinney Drugs has been serving the needs of the Chittenango community. The new, larger store will continue to provide accessible health care to the community, along with an enhanced shopping experience. Customers will benefit from the store\u2019s wider selection of nutritional, weight management, personal care and beauty products. In addition, the location offers home medical equipment, sleep comfort products and an expanded collection of compression hosiery.<\/p>\n

The pharmacy department is equipped with a consultation room for private and professional patient counseling and a drive-up window for easy prescription drop-off and pickup. Local residents have access to free prescription delivery, automated prescription refills, a discount prescription program and immunizations.<\/p>\n
