No appointment is needed.<\/p>\n<p>July 3 and 4<br \/>\nIndependence Day Celebration<br \/>\nFriday and Saturday<br \/>\nOneida Library will be closed both\u00a0Friday, July 3, and\u00a0Saturday, July 4, to celebrate Independence Day. The library will be open as usual on\u00a0Monday, July 6, at\u00a09 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>July 6<\/p>\n<p>OPL Children\u2019s Summer Theater<\/p>\n<p>Monday\u00a0at\u00a09:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Oneida Library\u2019s Summer Reading Program, children 6 to 14 years old will begin rehearsals on\u00a0July 6\u00a0for a production of a play about bullying called \u201cDare and Double Dare\u201d under the direction of Tom Lemery. The group meets\u00a0Monday, Tuesday\u00a0and Wednesday mornings through\u00a0August 5. The play\u2019s performance will be August 6. No appointment is needed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>July 9<\/p>\n<p>OPL\u2019s Summer Reading Program: Spider-Man and His Webs<\/p>\n<p>Thursday at\u00a01:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>With the Summer Reading Program theme of \u201cevery hero has a story,\u201d Oneida Library\u2019s Youth Librarian Michele Ryan leads a program in the science behind the web-making powers of the comic-book hero Spider-Man, followed by a professional actor&#8217;s\u00a0\u00a0portrayal of the super hero.<\/p>\n<p>July 9<\/p>\n<p>Book Talk with Almondie Shampine<\/p>\n<p>Thursday from\u00a06:00 to 8:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Durhamville author Almondie Shampine will present her latest novels for teens and adults (\u201cGlimpses,\u201d \u201cThe Reform,\u201d and \u201cThe Modules\u201d) for sale and signing. Refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>July 14<\/p>\n<p>OPL Board of Trustees Meeting<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u00a0at\u00a05 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Trustees of Oneida Public Library will hold its next meeting onTuesday, July 14, at\u00a05 p.m.\u00a0in the library\u2019s Local History Room, 220 Broad St., Oneida. The public is invited to attend.
