Thurston,\u00a029, from Canastota veered onto\u00a0the right shoulder, striking a disabled vehicle and tow truck, then continued back into the lane of traffic and struck a third vehicle. \u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Thurston\u00a0sustained minor injuries.\u00a0His passenger, Chad A. Hitchings, 31,\u00a0from Oneida sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries. \u00a0They were traveling with two dogs, one of which died on scene and the second one ran off.<\/p>\n<p>The Kinney&#8217;s Towing driver, Theodore F. Presley, 34,\u00a0from Oneida was uninjured.<br \/>\nThe driver of the disabled vehicle, Carlton A. McRae, 33 from Newport News, Va.\u00a0succumbed to his injuries at St. Elizabeth&#8217;s Medical Center in Utica. \u00a0The left rear passenger, Mark I. Murray, 34 of Syracuse sustained fatal injuries. \u00a0McRae&#8217;s front seat passenger, from Syracuse\u00a0is in stable condition at St. Elizabeth&#8217;s Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>The driver from the remaining vehicle, David A.
