As an added bonus, there is a collection of personal anecdotes at the end of the book from persons who knew Hinman or knew of him &#8230; not all of whom are fans of his.<\/p>\n<p>This seems to promise to be a lively\u00a0presentation of a controversial man who had an impact on our area, sometimes good and sometimes quite scandalous for the time.<\/p>\n<p>The museum will open half an hour early at\u00a01:30\u00a0p.m. for the program and be open until\u00a04 p.m.\u00a0(or longer if needed) and is located at 23 East Main St. in Earlville.<\/p>\n<p>It is also open Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. through October or by appointment by contacting Mike Kicinski at\u00a0mike@quincy.earlville.net.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Earlville, NY \u2013 Aug. 2015) On Saturday Aug. 22 local area author James Ford will present a program on his most recent book,\u00a0&#8220;GROVE &#8211; His Life and Legacy in the Madison Area, a biography of farmer\/businessman Grove Hinman, who made his mark on the area in the early to mid-1900s.
