\"Morrisville<\/a>(Morrisville, Syracuse, NY \u2013 Aug. 2015) Morrisville State will have a vast presence again this year at the New York State Fair, which runs\u00a0Aug. 27 to Sept. 7.<\/p>\n

Fairgoers can learn more about the college\u2019s horses housed in their building located near Gate 4 by the Coca-Cola Coliseum and the Iroquois Indian Village. In addition to horses, the college\u2019s automotive club will showcase its \u201crat rod,\u201d a 1936, 1-1\/2 ton truck whose cab is from a 1940 Dodge pickup. The engine, a 1980 Oldsmobile diesel, runs on biodiesel fuel made on campus.<\/p>\n

Visitors can also obtain an array of information about the college, athletics, activities, and speak to faculty and staff about the college\u2019s program offerings. Morrisville State alumni are encouraged to stop by and access materials to find fellow classmates, enjoy history about the college and get caught up on its expansion and progress. MSC Alumni Day at the Fair is\u00a0Sept. 5.<\/p>\n

The college will also have a presence and provide samples daily in The Taste New York Marketplace (formerly Pride of New York), operated by the Morrisville State College Auxiliary Corporation (MAC) through Nelson Farms. Located inside Gate 2, the building, open from\u00a010 a.m.-10 p.m., resembles an old-time store stocked with food grown or produced in every corner of New York State.<\/p>\n

\"Fair\"<\/a>Products include NY maple syrup, maple candy, maple cotton candy, salsas, sauces, marinades, ice cream toppings, and jams and jellies.<\/p>\n

Utica Coffee will also be served along with Morrisville State College\u2019s Molly\u2019s Ice Cream. For $1, visitors can savor chocolate, vanilla, and black raspberry ice cream and top it with the new Holi Cannoli coffee flavored ice cream topping created by Nelson Farms using Utica Coffee\u2019s cannoli-flavored coffee.<\/p>\n

There will also be a book signing by Chuck D\u2019Imperio, author of\u00a0A Taste of Upstate New York, on\u00a0Saturday Aug. 29 from\u00a0noon to 4 p.m.\u00a0at The Taste New York Marketplace.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the School of Agriculture, Sustainability, Business and Entrepreneurship will have an exhibit in the FFA Building. The college will also be showcased on\u00a0Sept. 1\u00a0in the SUNY booth, located inside the Science & Industry Building near the main entrance and Chevy Court.<\/p>\n

Equine faculty and students will be honing their skills, competing with the Morrisville College Foundation\u2019s six-horse Belgian hitch in the coliseum near the dairy barn. Admission to the horse show is free. Morrisville is the only college in North America to compete with a six-horse hitch.<\/p>\n
