Civil Rights Film: Freedom Riders<\/p>\n

Thursday\u00a0at\u00a06:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The OPL hosts the showing of the documentary film \u201cFreedom Riders,\u201d which chronicles the white and black volunteers riding on a bus into the Deep South in 1961 to protest racial discrimination. The film and discussion are part of a Madison County series of programs on America\u2019s civil rights struggle developed by the National Abolition Hall of Fame and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities.<\/p>\n
