13th Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest: Stop in to the library and pick up your pumpkin coloring contest entry starting Oct. 1.\u00a0 You have until Oct. 24 at 4pm to turn in your creations for judging.\u00a0 Open to toddler to 6th graders.\u00a0 Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

Tai Chi Chuan Class: Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with instructor Bill Snyder.\u00a0 Open to all teens and adults.\u00a0 Best part, it\u2019s FREE.\u00a0 Join us on Monday Oct. 5, 19 and 26 at 6:30pm.\u00a0\u00a0 Be sure to continue until the end of June.<\/p>\n

Kiddies Korner: Bring the little ones in for our preschool story hour on Tuesday Oct. 6 at 10:00am.\u00a0 Help us have fun with \u201cFall Leaves Fall.\u201d<\/p>\n

Essential Oils Class:\u00a0 Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally on Thursday Oct. 8 at 6:30pm.\u00a0 Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.<\/p>\n

Historic Talk #2- Pvt. Lyons Wakeman:\u00a0 Join Civil War re-enactor, Melanie Martin, as she shares with us about this great \u201cman\u201d on Friday Oct. 9 at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n

Landmark\u2019s Day: Join the MHPC at the Engine House up the street at 10am on Saturday Oct. 10 for the Marion Howlett Taylor Award.\u00a0 After the presentation, walk down to the library for a Virtual Tour of our Local Landmarks presented by our Village Historian, Sue Greenhagen.\u00a0 Then if you feel like taking a self-guided walking tour of the local Landmarks, grab a map and head on your way.\u00a0 Grab some refreshments on your way out.<\/p>\n

Kiddies Korner:\u00a0 Our preschool story hour is back and we are \u201cGoing on a Bear Hunt.\u201d on Tuesday Oct. 13 at 10:00am.\u00a0 Come hear stories, songs, finger plays and more about bears..<\/p>\n

Book Talk: The book we will be discussing is James Scott\u2019s The Kept on Friday Oct. 16 at 12:15pm.\u00a0 Be sure to bring your lunch and join in the discussion.\u00a0 Copies can be picked up now.<\/p>\n

Kiddies Korner: Our preschool story hour this week will be hearing stories about the alphabet, \u201cFrom A to Z\u201d on Tuesday Oct. 20 at 10:00am. Bring your preschool child in for this exciting bunch of stories.<\/p>\n

Family Movie Night: We are showing the new 2014 version of Poltergeist on Friday Oct. 23 at 7:00pm. This is PG-13 so make sure if you are under 13 to bring your parent or guardian. Popcorn will be provided.\u00a0 Just bring your own beverage.<\/p>\n
