Hayes, 25, of 541 Salt Road, Constantia after a report of shots being fired at the\u00a0Dollar General in Constantia.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation determined that Hayes was attacked by another male subject\u00a0after Hayes had exited the store.\u00a0 Hayes retaliated by firing a 16 gauge shotgun loaded with birdshot at\u00a0the vehicle of his attacker while he drove away, causing damage to the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Hayes was charged with one count of first-degree Reckless Endangerment, class &#8220;D&#8221; felony and second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, class &#8220;C&#8221; felony.<\/p>\n<p>Hayes was\u00a0arraigned in\u00a0the Town of Constantia Court where he was remanded to the Oswego County Jail\u00a0in lieu of\u00a0$5,000 cash bail, $10,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is continuing\u00a0and more charges are pending.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Constantia, NY \u2013 Dec. 7, 2015) State Police in Hastings arrested\u00a0Rusty S.
