March.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday Jan. 9 at 11 am the Rome Historical Society welcomes local author Nancy Best.\u00a0 Best who has published two cookbooks on Adirondack cooking that feature images, stories and memories of growing up in the region.\u00a0 There is no charge for this event.\u00a0 If you have any questions or for more information please call\u00a0315-336-5870.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday Jan. 10\u00a0at 2 pm the Village of Clinton Historical Society welcomes Nathan Goodale, Associate Professor of Anthropology at Hamilton College, who will present\u00a0\u201cHistoric Archaeology on the Hamilton College Campus.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Goodale will talk about developments taking place on the campus since 2012 focusing on recording historic structures, limited test excavations and archival research with the Clinton Historical Society and the Hamilton College Archives.\u00a0 He will discuss findings from these investigations, student experimental learning and ties to Hamilton Town Library will host \u201cWho are the Daughters of the American Revolution?\u201d\u00a0Barbara Granato and members of the Oneida Chapter of the NSDAR will talk about what the organization is, what Cazenovia Public Library will host a presentation on how landscape and culture helped shape the Town of Cazenovia.\u00a0\u00a0Matt Potteiger of the Landscape Architecture Program at SUNY-ESF will discuss how the interactions between landscape and culture impacted the town through history and into today.\u00a0 There is no charge for this event.\u00a0 For more information please visit <a \u00a024 at 7 pm the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation and the Cazenovia Public Library will host a presentation on an early transportation crisis in the Town of Cazenovia.\u00a0\u00a0Julie Shotzberger will present the issues the occurred after the town was bypassed for both the Erie Canal and early railroads.\u00a0 She will explain how the crisis was solved and what impacts the &#8220;From Bingley to Busti.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0Come and learn the story of a Madison County Mill which existed for close to 160 years before being torn down.\u00a0 Here how remnants from the mill are now part of a thriving mill in western NY, and the miller\u2019s home is a residence in another town.\u00a0 There is no charge for this event.\u00a0 For more information please visit <a
