Deadline Approaching<\/p>\n

(Utica, NY \u2013 Jan. 2016) Nomination forms for 2016 for induction into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame are currently available.\u00a0 The forms can be downloaded at\u00a0http:\/\/www.greateruticasports.com\/nominations\/<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n

In order to be considered for induction into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame, individuals must have lived in the Greater Utica area and achieved or promoted excellence in athletics. A non-retired nominee must have at least (25) twenty-five years\u2019 experience in the category to which he\/she is nominated from.\u00a0 Categories include:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Pre-Modern Athlete (High School, College, Amateur, or Professional Athlete pre-1960)<\/li>\n
  2. Modern Athlete (High School, College, Amateur, or Professional Athlete 1960-present)<\/li>\n
  3. Coach or Manager (High School, College, Amateur, or Professional)<\/li>\n
  4. Sports Executive, Sports Official, or Sports Administrator (High School, College, Amateur, or Professional)<\/li>\n
  5. Outstanding Supporter\/Promoter (Media, Sponsor, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    In order to be considered for induction into the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame, teams must have been<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

      \n
    1. A Professional League Champion<\/li>\n
    2. A College National Champion<\/li>\n
    3. A High School State Champion<\/li>\n
    4. A Sectional Champion<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
