The museum, located in Chittenango, is in the heart of the historic downtown district and features artifacts and exhibits about Chittenango native, L. Frank Baum and his most famous work, &#8220;the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The museum is run by the International L. Frank Baum &amp; All Things Oz Historical Foundation. Foundation Vice President Colleen Zimmer said that this is the first time the museum has participated.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We are really excited to have the opportunity to participate,&#8221; Zimmer said. &#8220;We will be accepting the free tickets that visitors can print from the Smithsonian Magazine website, but we will not be collecting any admissions on the 12th with or without the tickets.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;The foundation is a 501(C)3 non-profit, and we are 100-percent volunteer, so all of the money we raise goes into protecting the exhibit, upgrades to the recently acquired Baum-Neal house in Syracuse and the annual Oz-Stravaganza! festival.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The museum has more than 10,000 pieces in its collection and has approximately 1,500 pieces on display at a time. The exhibits include items from the 1975 Broadway production of &#8220;The Wiz,&#8221; original artwork and collectibles from the OZ universe, the original costumes from the film &#8220;After The Wizard,&#8221; and two 1939 MGM Munchkin actor appearance costumes. There are also rare items, autographed photos, and every kind of OZ collectible imaginable, from table and chairs, to music boxes and animatronic table top d\u00e9cor.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Free Museum Live day is being held nationwide <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_55734720\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Saturday, March 12<\/span><\/span>. The All Things Oz Museum, 219 Genesee St, Chittenango, is open from <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_55734721\"><span class=\"aQJ\">10 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0that day.
