The clean-up will be Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m. The public is\u00a0invited and encouraged to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Each year the Canastota Canal Town Museum works with the state Canal Corporation, the Village of\u00a0Canastota, the Canastota Rotary and Parks and Trails New York to promote <!--more-->the beautification effort within the village. The village is one of 150 communities across the state to participate.<\/p>\n<p>We are asking organizations and individuals that care about Canastota and the Erie Canal to spend some\u00a0time with your neighbors and assist in improving the appearance of our community.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a limited supply of free \u201cCanal Clean Sweep\u201d tee shirts available for participants; please bring\u00a0rakes, shovels and gloves. To participate, meet at the Canal Museum Education Center at 110 Canal\u00a0St. or call 315.697.5002 and leave a message if you wish to participate.
