While speaking with the driver, Amanda E. Vadala, 32, the trooper observed a hypodermic needle and a small plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance on the front passenger seat.<\/p>\n<p>A vehicle search uncovered more drug paraphernalia, in addition to\u00a0a quantity of heroin and cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>Vadala was taken into custody and processed at the Oneida state police barracks for two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic charges.<\/p>\n<p>Vadala was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Canastota Village Court April 21.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oneida-based state police charged a Syracuse woman with misdemeanor drug charges following a traffic stop in Canastota Tuesday night.
