Sixteen presenters from five counties shared their Demonstrations Interviews and Recitations in front of six judges.<\/p>\n<p>4-H Grows Confidence and Career Readiness through Public Presentations. 4-H Public Presentations is a progressive program that allows youth participants the opportunity to advance to more challenging levels of evaluation through a coordinated series of events, each taking place in a different setting. Each time a presenter is evaluated, they then have an opportunity to fine-tune their presentation before taking it to the next level. The higher a participant advances, the more competitive the program becomes. It is through the evaluation process<!--more--> that 4-H members experience mastery, gain valuable skills in listening to the recommendations of others, and continue to develop confidence in themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Representing Herkimer County in the Junior Division, <strong>Abigail Reed<\/strong> received first place, and <strong>Fern Bick<\/strong> received 3rd place (8-12 years old). <strong>Jordynn Alesia<\/strong> received second place, and <strong>McCaylia Plungis<\/strong> received fourth place for Senior Division (13-19 years old).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jordynn Alesia<\/strong> and <strong>McCaylia Plungis<\/strong> have been selected to go on to the State 4-H Public Presentation event to be held on <span data-term=\"goog_640933826\">June 4, 2016<\/span>, Morrison Hall &#8211; Cornell University.<\/p>\n<p>For questions on this or other 4-H programs, please contact Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County at <a href=\"tel:%28315%29%20866-7920\">(315) 866-7920<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The North Central District 4-H Public Presentation event was held on April 16 at CCE Oneida.
