Sernett PhD, author of <em>Harriet Tubman: Myth, Memory, and History<\/em> will be hosting the National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum (NAHOF) from 1 to\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_147898771\">5 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><span data-term=\"goog_147898772\">Sunday, May 29<\/span>. Visitors to the Hall of Fame are encouraged to learn facts about Tubman from the exhibits and from Sernett.<\/p>\n<p>Sernett is <em>professor emeritus<\/em> Syracuse University in African-American studies and a founder and board member of the National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum.<\/p>\n<p>The Cabinet of Freedom discussed Tubman\u2019s placement on U.S. currency at its last board meeting, expressing its pride in Tubman\u2019s induction in 2005 with the first class of abolitionists. \u00a0The Tubman news <!--more-->has energized the board for its seasonal opening. NAHOF is open from <span data-term=\"goog_147898773\">1 to 5 p.m.\u00a0<\/span>Saturdays and Sundays, and from noon to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, for special events, and by appointment.<\/p>\n<p><em>CHANGING AMERICA<\/em>, an exhibit from the Smithsonian\u2019s National Museum of African American History and Culture will open at NAHOF with a special program <span data-term=\"goog_147898775\">Saturday, June 4<\/span>.
