Romeril will be working in Public Affairs, while McGee-Smith has been providing Disaster Mental Health services. The fire forced more than 80,000 people to evacuate and destroyed <!--more-->entire neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Gulf Coast region continues to be affected by massive flooding; 14 shelters were open in the Greater Houston area\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_82183810\">Monday<\/span>, providing a warm, dry place to stay, food and emotional support for residents who are not able to remain at their homes due to storms and flooding. Volunteers Diana McLaughlin of Rochester and Beth Shook of Cuba, NY, will be deploying <span data-term=\"goog_82183811\">Tuesday\u00a0<\/span>to work in Staff Services.<\/p>\n<p>Louis (Jim) Iannettoni of Elbridge and Lorraine Morris of Bath are leaving <span data-term=\"goog_82183812\">Wednesday<\/span> to work in Disaster Services Technology, and Frank VanSickle of Cortland will be supporting a virtual call center, conducting client interviews by phone to assess clients\u2019 needs and to determine appropriate assistance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.redcross.org\/support\/donating-fundraising\/donations\"><strong>HOW TO HELP<\/strong><\/a> Those who would like to help people affected by disasters like wildfires, flooding and countless other crises can make a donation to Red Cross Disaster Relief. People can donate by visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/redcross.org\/\">redcross.org<\/a>, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
