\"Candlelight<\/a>Syracuse, NY (June 6, 2016<\/span><\/span>)<\/b> \u2013 Armory Square Association will bring six concerts to Armory Square in the 32nd edition of the Association\u2019s popular summertimeCandlelight Series of musical entertainment under the stars<\/a>. The Series opens July 9 featuring two concerts dedicated to the memory of Dalton \u201cD\u201d Vanterpool, a long-time popular personality in the Square, who loved music. The Saturday<\/span><\/span> night Series continues with double concerts on July 16 and 23.<\/span><\/p>\n

Staged outside, on the corner of West Jefferson and Franklin Streets, each evenings\u2019 Openers will begin at 7:00 PM<\/span><\/span>, followed by Main Concert performances from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM<\/span><\/span>. Versatile musician Todd Hobin kicks off the Series on July 9<\/span><\/span>, immediately followed with an engaging performance by vocalist Ronnie Leigh. On July 16<\/span><\/span>, the Accoustic\/Electric music of Jerry Cali starts things rolling ahead of the Main Concert by the Symphoria Brass Quintet. This year\u2019s season of concerts closes on July 23<\/span><\/span> with pianist Dick Ford accompanying his Signasture Music prot\u00e9g\u00e9, jazz vocalist Danielle Patrice. They perform ahead of international favorites, guitarists Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Candlelight Series is a free program of the Armory Square Association, made possible by a grant through NYS Senator John A. De Francisco as well as funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature – administered by CNY Arts. The Downtown Committee<\/a>, City of Syracuse<\/a> and Armory Square<\/a> businesses provide additional support.<\/span><\/p>\n
