\"Grand-Jury-Indictment-Icon\"<\/a> \"Perry,<\/a>On June 25, State Police in Herkimer arrested Alexander M. Perry, 25, from 88 Cold Brook St., Poland, for second-degree vehicular manslaughter, first-degree vehicular assault, second-degree vehicular assault (two counts), criminally negligent homicide, operating a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs, failure to keep right and no inspection certificate following an indictment by the Herkimer County grand jury.<\/p>\n

The arrest follows an investigation into the July 2015 fatal crash that killed 21-year-old motorist Cameron Jones and injuring four passengers.<\/p>\n

Perry was arraigned in Herkimer County Court June 27 and remanded to the Herkimer county correctional facility in lieu of $ 50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.<\/p>\n

(July 2015) State Police in Herkimer are investigating a two-car fatal crash that occurred on Newport Road in the Town of Schuyler, Herkimer County.<\/p>\n

At approximately 3:30 p.m., Alexander Perry, 24, from Bull Hill Road, Cold Brook, was operating a 1997 Toyota Camry northbound on Newport Road when he failed to keep right and entered the southbound lane striking a 2003 Saturn head-on.<\/p>\n

The Saturn vehicle, operated by Cameron Jones, 21, 370 White Creek Rd. Newport, was southbound on Newport Road. Jones was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
