\"Kate<\/a>Kate Rolf, MBA, CHCE, FACHE, president and chief\u00a0executive officer, VNA Homecare, has been appointed to a four-year term on the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services\u00a0(NACRHHS) of the Health Resources and Services Administration.<\/p>\n

NACRHHS is comprised of a group of 21 nationally recognized rural\u00a0health experts who advise the Secretary of the Department of Health and\u00a0Human Services on ways to address health care issues across rural\u00a0America. Committee members offer first-hand experience dealing with\u00a0rural issues in fields ranging from medicine, nursing and public health\u00a0to law, finance and research.\u00a0 As a committee member, Rolf will be\u00a0responsible for helping to analyze key rural issues and for submitting\u00a0recommendations for possible solutions.<\/p>\n

Rolf brings a wide range of health policy experience to the committee.\u00a0She has more than 20 years of leadership experience, complemented by a\u00a0master\u2019s in business administration, a Home Care Executive Certification\u00a0(CHCE), a fellowship from the American College of Healthcare Executives\u00a0(FACHE), and licensure as a New York State Nursing Home Administrator.\u00a0She is also an active member of several community organizations,\u00a0including the Long Term Care Executive Council and Selective Services,\u00a0and serves on the Board of Directors for the Visiting Nurse Associations\u00a0of America (VNAA) and LeadingAge New York, where she also serves as\u00a0Chair of the Home and Community Based Service Cabinet. She has received\u00a0countless honors and awards, most recently the Home Care Association of\u00a0New York State\u2019s 2015 Advocacy Award and the Excellence in Health Care\u00a0Award for Innovations in Health Care.<\/p>\n
