The\u00a0program offers disease-specific <!--more-->education on topics such as management of asthma symptoms,\u00a0cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes instruction and more.<\/p>\n<p>Master Trainers will offer training to recruited peer leaders from 9 am to 4:30 pm on Aug.\u00a029, 30, 31, and Sept. 1, at OASIS, 6333 State Route 298, East Syracuse. You\u00a0must attend all 4 days to become a certified peer leader. All training supplies and materials will be provided.<\/p>\n<p>Once trained, the peer leaders will work in pairs to lead workshops at various sites in Onondaga\u00a0County. Each workshop runs for six weeks (one day a week for 2 \u00bd hours a day).<\/p>\n<p>Students, health professionals and members of the wider Syracuse community are all\u00a0encouraged to apply.
