Brooks, age 33, of Westbrook Hills, Syracuse for DWI after investigating a vehicle in a ditch Monday evening.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 8 p.m. Aug. 22, Madison County 911 dispatched troopers to investigate a vehicle in a ditch along State Route 5 in the town of Lenox.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, Trooper Nathan Parrino observed a 2005 Mitsubishi Galant stuck in a ditch with minor damage and a male, Brooks,\u00a0lying on the ground next to the car. While\u00a0speaking <!--more-->with Brooks, Parrino learned that he was the driver, was not injured\u00a0and observed that\u00a0he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.<\/p>\n<p>Sobriety tests indicated Brooks was intoxicated and he was taken into custody for DWI.\u00a0 A small quantity of marijuana was located in\u00a0his vehicle.\u00a0 Brooks was transported to the SP Oneida barracks, where a breath test determined Brooks had a blood alcohol content of .17 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks was issued traffic tickets for DWI, Driving with a BAC of .08% or greater, refusal of a breath screen, consumption of\u00a0alcohol in a vehicle while driving and unlawful possession of marijuana.\u00a0 Brooks is scheduled to appear at a later date in the Town of Lenox Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oneida based state police arrested Brandon K.
