This year\u2019s recruiting class features five forwards, three defenseman and one goaltender.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are excited to welcome these nine outstanding student-athletes to the Colgate Hockey program,&#8221; said Vaughan. &#8220;I want to thank my staff,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gocolgateraiders.com\/coaches.aspx?rc=925\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/gocolgateraiders.com\/coaches.aspx?rc%3D925&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1472435323725000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHsGvX5MllvAw-nXY6q_6guaT4PcA\">Mike Harder<\/a>\u00a0&#8217;97 and Juliano Pagliero, for their hard work in identifying and helping bring these young men to Colgate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These student athletes are a perfect fit for Colgate University and our hockey program. They are exceptional young men and each possesses a specific skill set that meets our needs. We lost a lot of offense to graduation after last season so there is opportunity for them to have an immediate impact. We are looking forward to start of the 2016-17 season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Class of 2020 is the programs largest recruiting class to join the Raiders since they welcomed the 10 newcomers <!--more-->to the program in 2013, including nine players that are part of the Class of 2017 entering their senior seasons this year.<\/p>\n<p>Included in this new class is goaltender Colton Point, who was selected in the fifth round with the 128<sup>th<\/sup> overall pick of the 2016 NHL Draft by the Dallas Stars.<\/p>\n<p>The 2015-16 Raiders finished the season with an 11-24-2 overall record and 6-14-2 mark in ECAC Hockey play.
