Meade,\u00a024, of Canastota, and charged her with third-degree grand larceny (a\u00a0D felony), third-degree welfare fraud (a D felony), first-degree offering a false instrument for filing (a E felony) and third-degree perjury (an\u00a0A misdemeanor).<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that Meade fraudulently filed a public assistance application with\u00a0the Madison County Department of Social Services, claiming that she was not\u00a0receiving <!--more-->any income, when she was actually receiving income from another\u00a0source. As a result of this fraudulent act on Meade\u2019s part, she illegally\u00a0obtained $3,251.00 in public assistance, which she was not entitled to.<\/p>\n<p>Meade was arraigned at the Lincoln Town Court where she was remanded to the Madison County\u00a0Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
