NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan presents Rep. Richard Hanna with the \u201cGuardian of Small Business\u201d Award.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

U.S. Representative Richard Hanna was presented with the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) Guardian of Small Business Award.<\/p>\n

Rep. Hanna accepted the award at the U.S. Capitol from NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. Rep. Hanna received a score of 93 percent for the votes he cast during the 114th Congress based on NFIB\u2019s key votes scorecard, demonstrating a commitment to protecting free enterprise.<\/p>\n

Rep. Hanna serves as Chairman of the Small Business Subcommittee on Contracting and Workforce. He has earned this award every Congress since he was first took office in 2011 for his ongoing support of policies that benefit America\u2019s small businesses and help grow the economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a longtime businessman in upstate New York, I\u2019m focused on taking steps to ease the burden on our small businesses so they can do what they do best \u2013 compete and create jobs in our community,\u201d Rep. The Guardian of Small Business is NFIB\u2019s most prestigious award.\u00a0 It is reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently with NFIB on the key issues identified by small business owners.\u00a0 NFIB tracks the votes of every member of Congress.
