\u00a0<\/strong>Not sure how to sell your products or services to the government? Minority and women entrepreneurs are invited to the \u201cOpening Doors to Government Contracting\u201d conference from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.<\/span> on Tuesday, Oct. 11,\u00a0at the SUNY Polytechnic Student Center in Marcy.<\/p>\n

\u201cOpening Doors to Government Contracting\u201d will provide key information, resources and practical advice on how to do business with federal, state, and local agencies. Procurement resource specialists will present specific government procurement programs and certifications for minority and women entrepreneurs in the \u201cWe Can Help\u201d panel presentation. Participants will be able to attend workshops that will cover federal contracting and certifications as well as state certifications and marketing to state agencies.<\/p>\n

Three successful business owners who have become successful government contractors will participate in the \u201cHow We Did It\u201d panel presentation: John Piseck, CTM located in Frankfort, Colleen Maxwell, Nature\u2019s Footprint located in Newport, and Linda Rockwood, Mohawk Valley GIS located in Utica.<\/p>\n

New for this year, representatives from Gaetano Construction and Adjusters International will participate on a prime panel. The event concludes with a Speed Networking Session for attendees to connect with procurement representatives from large corporations and federal, state and local agencies looking for local small businesses suppliers.<\/p>\n

The cost of the conference is $10.00 per person, and includes a continental breakfast.
