\"trunk-or-treat-silsbee-tx\"<\/a>Following the success of last year\u2019s first Trunk or Treat, Utica Public Library, in conjunction with kidsclothingexchange.org<\/a>, will be hosting another fun and safe family event on Saturday, October 29<\/span> from 2:00-5:00pm<\/span>.\u00a0 Last year over 600 local youth came and trick or treated from car to car in the Library\u2019s parking lot.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will include decorated cars, candy and costumes, but will also include a variety of crafts and activities for attendees, spooky tunes and sounds courtesy of DJ Silenze, and costume contests in several fun categories \u2013 Group, TV\/Movie, Funniest, Spookiest, Most Original, and Best Home Made.<\/p>\n

More information about the costume contests, and the time each contest will take place during Trunk or Treat, will be available on the Library\u2019s website, at www.uticapubliclibrary.org\/trunkortreat<\/a> and on Facebook at www.facebook.com\/TheLibrary.UticaPublicLibrary<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to candy and fun for kids and teens, Trunk or Treat is an excellent opportunity for local nonprofit agencies and organizations to share information about their services with the community.\u00a0 Each trunk will be hosted by an agency, and in addition to candy, you may distribute materials to participants.\u00a0 The Library is also looking for community volunteers to work at the event.\u00a0 If you are interested in having a trunk or volunteering, please call Sara Billman at the Utica Public Library to find out how you can get involved!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
