Hanna: Constituent services remain a top priority through the end<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

U.S. Representative Richard Hanna last week sent a letter to the candidates vying to succeed him in representing New York\u2019s 22nd Congressional District about his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition after Election Day.<\/p>\n

Rep. Hanna told the three candidates \u2013 Martin Babinec, Broome County Legislator Kim Myers and Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney \u2013 that he looks forward to working with the Representative-elect to shift outstanding casework and other information to the new office holder.<\/p>\n

Rep. Hanna has directed his staff to compile a briefing about ongoing projects in the 22nd Congressional District in addition to a review of key services provided by the office including police and fire grants, the Congressional Art Competition and his Service Academy Committee.<\/p>\n

He invited the Representative-elect to tour both congressional offices \u2013 in Binghamton and Utica \u2013 and said his senior staff will be available to meet immediately with the incoming Representative and their designees regarding the changeover.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am committed to a smooth transition and look forward to working with the Representative-elect to make the process as seamless as possible,\u201d Rep. Hanna said. \u201cThe residents of the 22nd Congressional District deserve no less. Constituent services has been one of the most personally satisfying parts of my time in office and I am dedicated to ensuring it remains a top priority through the end of my service.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dear (candidate),<\/em><\/p>\n

Constituent services has been an important and one of the most personally satisfying parts of my time in office.\u00a0 I am dedicated to ensuring it remains a top priority through the end of my service to the residents of the 22nd Congressional District.<\/p>\n

I am committed to a smooth transition with the Representative-elect of New York\u2019s 22nd Congressional District and have directed my staff to prepare a district overview. Our constituents with open casework may elect to transfer their cases to the Representative-elect or one of New York\u2019s U.S. Senators.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Representative-elect is welcome to tour both congressional offices \u2013 in Binghamton and Utica \u2013 and my senior staff will be available to meet immediately with the Representative-elect and his or her designees regarding the changeover. It is my hope that this process will be seamless for the residents of the 22nd District.<\/em><\/p>\n
